InterfaceFLOR opens office in Chennai

| Speaking to reporters in Chennai on Thursday, Raj Menon, country manager, India, said the demand for carpets was increasing in South, especially in Chennai and Coimbatore, thanks to the IT/ITeS industry. |
| The company has seven manufacturing plants in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and in Thailand. |
| "We will soon set up a manufacturing facility in India to cater to the domestic market," Menon said. He declined to give a time frame in this regard. |
| InterfaceFLOR commenced business in India in 2001. |
| In the last seven years, it had sold more than 1.5 million square metres of carpet tiles to over 200 corporates. |
| The company expects a 30 per cent year-on-year revenue growth in the coming years. |
| The total turnover of the company last year was $1.2 billion, of which India accounted for 2-3 per cent, Menon said. |
