JobAccord, a global supplier of IT and non-IT professionals, has commenced its Indian operations.

Besides catering to its Indian clients, JobAccord is also commencing its BPO operations in Bangalore with 50 seats. Nearly half of these seats will be utilised to provide back-end support to its US-based clients.

JobAccord has started its Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) services, which is a key component of the Human Resource Outsourcing. RPO is done through a combination of online job boards and in-house recruitment team.

At present, the RPO centre in Bangalore will primarily cater to the JobAccord customers in the US. In simple terms, the Bangalore team will help employers hire best talent in US.

"Online recruiting has gained momentum the world over, along with the in-house recruitment process. Gartner Dataquest research reports show BPO market at $110 billion in 2002. This is growing at 9.5 per cent CAGR and is expected to touch $ 173 billion in 2007. The potential in India is evident from the increase in the number of requirements being posted on our site by the employers and also the number of job seekers registering with us."

Indian recruiters, both corporate and recruitment firms, are catching up fast with this automated mode of recruitment, due to its obvious benefits such as easy registration, speedy recruitment, online testing and cost-effectiveness," P Chandra Mohan, executive director, JobAccord India, said.
