Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) today said its subsidiary, Jindal Power, would set up a 1,600 Mw hydro electric power project on the Subansiri river in Arunachal Pradesh.
"Jindal Power would be setting up Subansiri Middle 1,600 Mw hydro electric power project in Arunachal Pradesh and has entered into an agreement with the state government and Hydro Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh," JSPL informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, Jindal Power has received Survey License from the Ministry of Energy, Nepal, for setting up 220 Mw Chainpur Seti hydro electricity project in the neighbouring country.
