Kellton Tech Solutions Limited, a Hyderabad-based, publicly-listed IT services and solutions company, has been awarded mSwasthya project by Uttar Pradesh government's State Innovation in Family Planning Services Project Agency (SIFPSA) valued at Rs 27.5 crore.

The project envisages developing a mobile healthcare platform to improve maternal and infant mortality rate outcomes in the state. The app will help health workers in their activities by enabling them to collect health data concerning mother and child in real-time and supporting them in providing healthcare.

The three-year project is to be implemented in Mirzapur, Faizabad, Sitapur, Bareilly and Kannauj districts. Once executed, the solution is expected to be extended to the remaining 70 districts of Uttar Pradesh, too, Kellton chief executive officer Karanjit Singh said in a release on Thursday.

Currently, the project entails handing over smartphones to the 10,252 Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) workers and tablets to the 1,719 Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANMs) and 300 people comprising medical officers, medical officers in-charge and SIFPSA staff, he said, adding that these devices would be procured from Videocon Industries.

Kellton Tech's scrip ended the trade at Rs 73.90 on the BSE on Thursday, up 5.35 per cent, over the previous close of Rs 70.15 a share.
