Delhi-based Kundan Care Products Limited, licensee of US-based Jolen Inc's cosmetics in India, has expanded its product portfolio by launching cold creme, moisturiser and hair gel.

The company had earlier launched creme bleach and hair removing kit under the same brand. Kundan Care is part of the Rs 1,600-crore Kundan Group that is into pharmaceuticals, chemicals and edible products.

Addressing the media, R Bakshi, general manager, marketing, Kundan Care Products Ltd, said, "The skincare market is worth Rs 6,000 crore in India and we aim to launch seven more Jolen products in the country by the end of the next year."

The company has also got the manufacturing rights for Jolen products in India and has a facility in Uttaranchal for blending the formulations.

"We have already spent Rs 20 crore at this facility and will be expanding it further with an investment of Rs 10 crore," Bakshi said.

Kundan Care has got the license to sell these products in Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Malaysia and South Africa as well.

"We have already sent a consignment to South Africa and expect 20 per cent of our revenues from exports," Bakshi said. The Rs 8-crore company expects to end this year with a turnover of Rs 25 crore.

The company won a case against an entity, which was involved in manufacturing fake Jolen products and marketing them in India for almost eight years. The court verdict effectively ended the entity's run in the market, Bakshi said.
