Lakshmi Vilas Bank reported a growth of 23% in net profit at Rs 21.03 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2014. It had logged net profit of Rs 17.10 crore a year ago.
The bank's total income rose to Rs 575.46 crore from Rs 520.81 crore, an increase of 10.49%. Interest earned rose to Rs 513.85 crore from Rs 460.43 crore.
Gross NPAs rose to Rs 546.46 crore from Rs 459.90 crore. In percentage terms, it rose to 4.19% from 3.87%. Net NPA of the bank rose to Rs 443.39 crore from Rs 283.80 crore or to 3.44% from 2.43%.
The Basel II Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) was 10.93% during the quarter as compared to 12.32% and Basel III was 10.90%.
