Pharma major Lupin said it has bought the worldwide rights for the Goanna Brand, under which therapeutic oils and ointments are marketed. This acquistion was done through Lupin's Australian subsidary Generic Health.
This acquistion will allow, Lupin to strengthens its postion in Australian market. The brand is being sold by 83% pharmacies in Australia.
Vinod Dhawan, president, AAMLA and Business Development, Lupin said, “The Goanna acquistion demonstrates Lupin’s sucess in building its brand francishe and equity globally.”
Shares of Lupin were trading at Rs 442.45, up 0.73% on BSE.
