There was a marginal drop in the company's income with a concomitant increase in its consumption costs

MRF Limited has reported a 14 percent drop in net profit during the third quarter this year. Last year the company's net profit stood at Rs 449.92 crore during the July-September quarter. This year, however, it stood at Rs 385.29 crore at the end of Q3.  

Total income dropped to Rs 3,614.63 crore from Rs 3,652.78 crore. While cost incurred in consumption of material also rose to Rs 1914.53 crore from Rs 1879.44 crore.
