The company has made an appeal to its more than 20,000 employees to come forward and support the cause espoused by the PM itself. Moreover, it has also launched a multi-media internal communications campaign to create awareness and facilitate participation of these employees.
“Immediately after the appeal made by the Prime Minister, JSPL’s senior management led by its Chairman Shri Naveen Jindal came forward to participate in this unique initiative,” said a statement from JSPL.
The company plans to extend the outreach of its awareness program to the employment eco-system of 50,000 families that are associated with JSPL, as well as its over one lakh shareholders.
“I am glad to see the large scale response coming from our employees who have joined me in giving up domestic LPG subsidy as our personal contribution towards nation building,” said Jindal.
