New tariff plans for Idea users in MP

Idea, the cellular telephone service provider, has announced new tariff plans based on call duration and balance for pre-paid subscribers in Madhya Pradesh.
 
According to the new tariff packages, the subscriber will have to pay Rs 2.50 a minute for a two-minute call up to an account balance of Rs 600. The charges will be Rs 2 a minute for 2-5 minute calls and Rs 1.75 a minute for over 5-minute calls.
 
For the balance above Rs 600, the tariff for a 2-minute call will be Rs 2.25 a minute, Rs 1.75 a minute for 2-5 minute calls and Rs 1.50 a minute for the above 5-minute calls.
 
"The new tariffs will enable pre-paid Idea customers to stay connected with many more people," said Vikram Mehmi, chief executive officer of Idea Cellular Ltd.
 
The company has also revised processing charges for recharge vouchers. It would allow Chit-chat pre-paid subscribers more talk -time, he said.
 
Now Idea subscribers can choose from Rs 108 card (Rs 50 talk-time valid for seven days) and Rs 3,240 card with Rs 3,000 talk-time and validity up to one year.
 
The company has also announced a night package (11 pm to 8 am) with a rental of Rs 25 and local outgoing call of Rs 1 a minute and a cell-to-cell package with a rental of Rs 45 and local outgoing calls of Re 1 a minute.
