The bail plea of Jignesh Shah, former chairman of Financial Technologies, could not be heard on Friday, as the public prosecutor failed to appear in the court.
The next hearing will take place on June 10 in a Mumbai sessions court.
Shah and Shreekant Javalgekar, former managing director and chief executive officer of the Multi Commodity Exchange, are in judicial custody till June 13.
Shah, and Javalgekar were arrested by the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai police on May 7 in connection with the Rs 5,600-crore National Spot Exchange Limited scam.
Shah and Javalagekar are currently in custody.
