Company appoints Ranga Puranik to head operations

IT solutions and software product development firm Persistent Systems, today announced the appointment of Ranga Puranik as President of Persistent Systems, and will serve as the head of the company’s US entity.
 
Puranik will lead the company’s sales and marketing efforts globally, taking over from Hari Haran, effective November 22, 2013.  Hari Haran will be leaving the company to pursue other interests. 
 
Puranik has been Executive Vice President of New Initiatives at Persistent Systems for over three years, and has been instrumental in the development and execution of the company’s growth strategy.  During the last three years, Puranik has been leading the company’s platform solutions business which has been a key entry strategy into the enterprise market.

“Ranga has done an excellent job of seeding and growing our platform solutions business while leading many sales wins both in the enterprise and product engineering businesses. We are very confident in his ability to lead the company to the next stage of growth,” he added further.
 
Puranik holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Chicago and a Bachelor of Engineering - Electronics & Communication from Karnatak University.
