Procter & Gamble net up 36%

A one-time gain of nearly Rs 13 crore helped Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care (PGHHCL) take up its net profit to Rs 42.8 crore for the quarter ended September 30 against Rs 31.4 crore reported last year. The percentage increase in net profit was 36 per cent. Net sales was up 32 per cent to Rs 302 crore against Rs 227.8 crore reported a year ago.
The maker of Whisper and Vicks saw its feminine care business post a 33 per cent sales growth, while its healthcare business grew 19 per cent, it said. Both Whisper and Vicks continue to be market leaders in their respective categories despite stiff competition, PGHHCL said.
