"We have gained a 20 per cent market share in the country's telecom pie and have also established leadership position in the AP market," Inder Bajaj, in-charge of special projects for Reliance Infocomm, claimed at the company's prepaid service launch here today.
The company's recent acquisition of majority control in international telecom carrier FLAG will help Reliance offer international long distance calls at cheaper rates and provide international private leased circuits and virtual private networks to the enterprise customers, Bajaj said. "We are also planning to increase our presence to about 5,000 towns in the country," he announced.
R Balachandran, the CEO of Reliance's AP circle, said that the company was now present in 104 towns in AP and is targeting to expand to all major towns by 2004-end.
