Sankunnis to set up its new factory in Ambattur

Sankunnis Ayurvedic Research Foundations Pvt (SARF) will set up its new factory in Ambattur at an investment of Rs 2 crore.
 
Addressing a press conference on the launch of SARF's Kabari Hair Oil and Epidermend Skin Ointment, Rajan Balakrishnan, managing director of the company, said that it had chosen a 10,000-sq ft place for its factory where it will manufacture ayurvedic products.
 
Sankunnis Ayurvedic Research Foundations is also in the process of getting equity investment of $ 10 million for its expansion plans in the next four years. This will be utilised to set up a Spa and Wellnes centre in Chennai. "We are looking for 15 acres of land for this initiative," he added.
 
The newly-launched Kabari Hair Oil will be available in Tamil Nadu in packs of 60 ml and 120 ml.
 
The company will soon launch the product in other southern states like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka also, he said. There are about 40 distributors for the product in Tamil Nadu.
 
The Epidermend Skin Ointment, which was also launched on the occasion, was manufactured in alliance with the International Research Institute Incorp.
