The cement maker had clocked Rs 217.44 crore net profit in the January-March quarter of the previous fiscal, it said in a BSE filing.
Total income of the Kolkata-based company, which has 13.5 million tonnes per annum cement capacity, grew to Rs 1,471.63 crore during the reporting quarter from Rs 1,428.03 crore a year ago.

Shares of the company settled at Rs 4,410.85 apiece, up 2.01% over the previous closing in BSE.
