Singapore Airlines(SIA) expects its Ahmedabad route to register around 35 per cent growth in traffic in 2010-11 over last fiscal, a senior company official said today.
"The Ahmedabad route has seen robust growth over the last few years, and we are planning to operate one additional flight per week starting from end-November to the first week of January to cater to the festive demand", C W Foo, general manager-India said.
The carrier is offering a tickets at a 40-50 per cent discounted price for this limited period offer. Foo did not want to comment on the possibility of permanently increasing the flight frequency from the city to thrice a week in the near future.
SIA currently operates two flights a week from Ahmedabad to Singapore, and the airline has been experiencing around 75-80 per cent occupancy over the last one year.
