Anil Agarwal-promoted Sterlite Industries has saw its profit decline by 24.91 per cent for the quarter ending September. The profit for the second quarter of the current financial year was Rs 958.8 crore. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,276.9 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year.
The income too saw a decline of 9.54 per cent. The Income decreased from Rs 7,205.8 crore for the quarter ended September 30 last year to Rs 6,517.8 crore for second quarter of the current financial year.
During the market hours, the share price of the company saw a decline of 1.28 per cent. Sterlite’s share was trading at Rs 751.30.
