Sun Pharma gets USFDA nod for generic Boniva

Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd, an integrated and speciality pharmaceutical company, announced that USFDA has granted approval for an Abbreviated  New Drug Application (ANDA), a generic version of Boniva, Ibandronate Sodium Injection.

The company filed a press release with the BSE to announce the same.

Ibandronate Sodium Injection is indicated in the treatment of osteoporosis in post menopausal in women.

At 11:45 am, the shares of Sun Pharma were trading at Rs 487.20, up 5% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
