Sun TV Q3 profit slumps 2.15%

The company's net profit was 185.79 cr

Sun TV today reported 2.15% decline in net profit at Rs 185.79 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 189.88 crore for the October-December period last year.

Income from operations of the Kalanidhi Maran-owned Sun TV Network in the quarter under review increased to Rs 508.34 crore from Rs 485.86 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, the company said in a filing to the BSE.

In a separate filing, Sun TV said its board has declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.50 per share (50%).

This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 2.25 per share (45%) and Rs 2.50 per share (50%) declared by it last year.

Shares of Sun TV closed marginally down at Rs 362.55 on the BSE.
