Tesco Hindustan Service Centre (Tesco HSC), the global services arm for retail firm Tesco, today announced the appointment of Dayanand Allapur as Head of Human Resources.
Allapur will be responsible for overseeing all human resource functions, including business partnering, talent acquisition, HR operations, employee engagement and learning and development, the company said in a statement.
"He (Allapur)joins us at a stage when we are scaling up and deepening our support for Tesco globally. His diverse experience across industries and geographies in the HR will be extremely useful for us to achieve these goals," Tesco HSC Chief Executive Officer Sandeep Dhar said.
He has around 20 years of experience in human resources. During these years, he has managed portfolios in employee engagement, talent management, global resource management and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Tesco HSC, Allapur was working with Patni Americas Inc as Vice President and Head of Human Resources, based out of Boston, US.
