Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched a road safety education programme that would cover over 20,000 school children across 20 schools in Bangalore in the first year.

The initiative would be expanded to other cities depending on the response this programmes gets.

The Toyota Safety Education Programme ""road safety, my right, my responsibility "" to be held over five days in select schools, is an interactive course for school students for imparting traffic safety awareness.

It involves children participating in computer games, manning informative traffic booths, interactive traffic safety sessions, animation films and a participatory mobile traffic park, TKM managing director Atsushi Toyoshima said.
