The expansion plan includes increasing the sponge iron capacity by 1.5 lakh tonnes and captive power production by 17.5 MW.
The Joda plant of TSIL, at present, has an installed capacity of 2.4 lakh tonnes of sponge iron with a co-generation facility to produce 7.5 MW of power.
