Microblogging platform Twitter saw its second senior exit this week with Parminder Singh (pictured), the managing director for India, Southeast Asia and Middle East and North African (MENA) region quitting the company on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Rishi Jaitly, the Asia-Pacific head who steered the engagement with government bodies for Twitter in India had quit saying he was returning to the US.

“After leading Twitter in Asia's most exciting markets (India/SEA/MENA) for 3 yrs, time to move on to new passions,” Singh tweeted.

Twitter confirmed that Singh would leave the company by the month-end. In his next stint, Singh will be helping a content-based start-up in Singapore and India.

Twitter added the MENA region would now be aligned with the Europe, the Middle East and Africa market region, whereas India and Southeast Asia would aligned to the Asia-Pacific region, currently headed by Aliza Knox, vice-president for the region.

Maya Hari, who previously managed Twitter’s ads product strategy and adoption for Asia-Pacific, MENA and Latin America, would be Twitter's new managing director for India and Southeast Asia, and would report to Knox, the firm stated. Taranjeet Singh will continue to be Twitter’s business head for India. Earlier in the day, Singh had tweeted that Benjamin Ampen would head the MENA team. The exits come at a time when Twitter is facing a crisis globally with revenue growth falling for eight consecutive quarters.
