United Breweries Holdings today posted 89.4% decline in its net profit at Rs 8.86 crore for the quarter ended December 2010.
For the same period last fiscal, the company's net profit was Rs 84.06 crore, that includes an exceptional item of Rs 95 crore, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company's net sales dipped 4.96% at Rs 82.69 crore during the three months period ended December, compared to Rs 87.01 crore in the same period last fiscal.
The firm's scrips closed at Rs 197 per share, down by 7.79% from the previous close on the BSE.
