While, 2,600 acres of land would be acquired in Chola (Bulandshahar district), another 1,300 acres of land is proposed to be acquired in trans-Ganga area in Kanpur.
"Once the proposed land is acquired and we get the requisite environmental clearance, the process of allotment to the prospective industrial units will begin," UPSIDC Managing Director Manoj Singh told Business Standard.

Meanwhile, UP principal secretary, infrastructure and industrial development, Surya Pratap Singh had directed UPSIDC to prepare a directory of 'cancelled allotments and unoccupied industrial plots' and allot these to pending applications for setting up of industrial units.
This decision was taken following request from Ghaziabad Industries Federa-tion seeking long awaited allotment of plots to units in Secundrabad industrial area. Now, UPSIDC would allot plots on priority from the cancelled allotments in upcoming Chola industrial area in Bulandshahar.
To create enabling environment for industrial development in UP, a tripartite meeting was held on Monday. The agenda comprised specific issues of allotment of industrial plots, issuance of 'no-objection certificate', relocation of power transmission lines passing over the industrial plots, setting up of vertical fire stations etc.
The industrial department has asked the fire safety department to coordinate with UPSIDC for building vertical fire stations due to scarcity of land.
On the demand of Indian Industries Association to develop a gas-based non-polluting industrial area near Mathura, UPSIDC has express-ed willingness to develop it on public private partnership mode.
