Gurgaon-based Knowlarity Communications Pvt Ltd has launched its virtual faxing service, SuperFax, which allows a subscriber to send and receive faxes through email.
One can send by attaching the required document in any format to an email and entering the ‘To’ address in the following format: ‘faxnumber@superfax.in.’ The document would be delivered to the intended fax number as a pdf document.
In the other direction, a SuperFax subscriber is allotted a virtual fax number by the company and would receive faxes sent to that number from a real or virtual fax machine as a pdf messages in one’s inbox.
According to Gaurav Arya, Knowlarity’s national sales manager, the subscription charges are Rs 1,500 for a six-month plan which allows 350 outgoing and unlimited incoming pages. The one-year plan costs Rs 2,500 and allows 800 outgoing and unlimited incoming pages. Faxes sent beyond the tariff limit are charged at Rs 2 per page.
The service has bagged 12,000 subscribers from all major cities in India since its launch in February this year, Arya said, adding that this included corporate houses like Tata AIG and Airtel.
He claimed that the service uses 128-bit security architecture like online banking transactions and was highly secure. He added that documents would not be stored by the company servers but are only routed. The service would be sold through channel service partners in all cities.
