Wipro to help Ashok Leyland cut cost

Wipro Infotech has signed up with Ashok Leyland Ltd (ALL) for a strategic cost reduction. The 30-month contract envisages developing a roadmap for cost reduction and supplier relationship management at ALL.

The consulting and 01 markets division of Wipro Infotech, which will implement the project, will focus on material costs and provide consultancy and technology solutions. A statement from Wipro Infotech said, the project will use 01 markets dynamic pricing tool engine and cost-management tools.

In addition, Wipro Infotech will also equip and train ALL's strategic sourcing and purchasing team.
