Company said to have invested close to $3-5 million for acquisition

| Xtent is understood to have invested close to $3 to 5 million for this acquisition. The company officials, however, refused to comment on the deal stating that the details would be announced shortly. |

| Xtent, which has a 350-seater unit in Bangalore and a 500-seater centre in the US, at present manages over a million transactions per month in interaction management, process support and fulfillment services to telecom, retail, financial services, travel and hospitality companies in the US and UK. |
| Xtent's parent company Valdel Corporation is a multi-business corporation with presence in offshore engineering services and retail in addition to BPO. Valdel Corporation was carved out from the construction company M S Ramaiah Group of Companies. |
| In addition to ramping up its BPO business, Valdel Corporation has its presence in the retail market through FamilyMart. It is learnt that the company is looking at setting up a second centre in Bangalore and is also considering the possibility of opening a centre in Mysore. |
| Valdel Retail was established in partnership with Suiwah Corporation "� a Malaysia-based public listed company with a combined turnover in excess of $ 70 million "� in 2002. Suiwah Corporation's main business comprises supermarkets and department stores in Penang and Malaysia. |
