Subhash Chandra-promoted Zee Telefilms is gearing up to upset the dynamics of established prime time viewership patterns with a new programming strategy.
In fact, it could give other channels a run for their money since it is directly positioned to take on those segments which currently have a high viewership rating.
The company, which will be unveiling its new programming format in the beginning of October, will first have the entire Thursday prime time slotted for a recently released Bollywood productions. The movie which will be telecast from 8 pm to 11.30 pm will be directly pitted against the daily soaps and other serials aired by other channels which currently command high television rating points (TRPs).
