Online restaurant guide, Zomato, said it has expanded its international presence by entering geographies across South Africa, United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Zomato started its operations in Cape Town in SA, in Manchester and Birmingham in the UK and Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand. Also, on Indian ground, the company has entered the city of Guwahati.

A statement from the company also said that it has revised its website by introducing new features like review of spam detection, user moderation of reviews, uploading of more user generated content like photos, users exchanging messages on the site, and a better interface.

"The goal of personalised ratings is to protect users from the insane amount of information that is created on Zomato everyday. Now, users will be able to create their own trust circle of restaurant recommendations. This will help our users to zero in on their next dining destination easily," said, Deepinder Goyal, founder and CEO, Zomato.

"We are also looking at expanding into Australia over the next few months, in addition to Turkey and Indonesia as well as continental Europe, Middle East, South America and South-East Asia in this calendar year," he added. (ENDS)
