The letter — the second such letter in two weeks — warned Hazare that he would meet the fate of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar, who was killed in Pune two years ago. State home department officials said a police report was filed on Friday in this regard.
According to Hazare’s aide, the new letter mentioned the name of one Mahadeo Panchal from Latur and it was posted from Osmanabad. On August 7, Hazare had received a similar warning that he must keep himself away from Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal. The letter said Haraze would be killed if he continued to be associated with Kejriwal.
It had also asked Hazare to confine himself to his native Ralegan Siddhi village. The village will on Saturday undertake a cleanliness drive and this will be followed by a plantation campaign.
