The conclave is likely to be attended by about 1500 non-resident Odias (NROs) .OWB, an umbrella organization of various associations of NROs residing in different parts of India and abroad, aims at bringing investments to the state.
Besides collective development of the state, OWB would also contribute to social, cultural and intellectual progress.

OWB plans to open an incubation centre for promoting entrepreneurship and undertake skill development activities for the skilled and unskilled labourers working in unorganized sectors.
"We are planning to undertake various developmental projects in sectors like science and technology, infrastructure, healthcare and education in the state with a commitment to complete such projects in disciplined, structured and time-bound manner", he added.
