Commentator Harsha Bhogle is likely to return to the commentary box for Indian Premier League season 10.

A year ago, Bhogle had written on his Twitter handle: "Would have been nice to be part of IPL again. Was in fact looking forward to it. Favourite tournament. Hope IPL9 is a blockbuster."
In one year, things have changed for Bhogle and if he is not seen on the ground for live commentary then he might grab some television studio offer, a report in the Times of India said.

The reason behind it is that in the last 12 months the Indian cricket has changed and power equation at the top of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also underwent a change. The office-bearer(s), who were opposed to him, are no longer in control.

Another factor behind Bhogle's comeback is the shortage of quality 'experts' in the studio.

With Ramiz Raja, Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar not available for this year's IPL, because of the strained relations between India and Pakistan, there is an acute shortage of people with an eye for analysis. With all his experience, it is believed that Bhogle can make up for a lot of that shortage, even if he were to be confined only to the studio.

Broadcasters Sony and Bhogle have chosen not to comment on the expected development.

It was believed that a tweet from Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and then by Mahendra Singh Dhoni saying Indian commentators talk more about foreign players than Indian ones -- the reason behind Bhogle's ouster

For the record, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, L Sivaramakrishnan and Sanjay Manjrekar are among those who have been offered the commentary contract for this IPL. Barring the Pakistanis, the other usual suspects of the IPL will be there.

Now, Bhogle's future in IPL10 will be decided in the next few days.
