The Human Resources Development Ministry has received suggestions from various quarters for the National Education Policy (NEP) which it plans to come up with soon.

The Prakash Javadekar-led Ministry had earlier put up on its website a gist of recommendations made by the committee, headed by former Cabinet Secretary TSR Subramanian, and sought comments from the public.

The last day for submitting these suggestions was September 30.

Sources said the deadline for submitting suggestions would not be extended and the Ministry is likely to set up a committee headed by an eminent educationist to draft the NEP.
