Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s heroic sprint and run out in the last ball to dismiss Mustafizur Rahman and — most importantly — win the nail-biter against Bangladesh to stay alive in the tournament can be easily termed as one of the best finishes in the Indian captain’s career. India managed to win the contest by 1 run at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Twitterati hailed the skipper’s move to take off one glove in anticipation of run-out, along with the sprint towards the stump. Some even termed it to be faster than Usain Bolt — the Jamaican sprinter considered to be the fastest man on the planet. The result led to a string of memes on social media which hailed the captain and took a dig at the early celebrations by Bangladesh players.

Business Standard takes a look at some of these gems that were being constantly shared on social media.

#IndvsBanChill chill. Bangladesh batsmen may hit a 1. They may hit a 4. They may even hit a 6. But they won't hit 146.(Can always delete the post if I am wrong)
