Asserting that Pakistan was "exposed and isolated" at the international level, Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said it was the victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's diplomacy.

"After the Uri attack on our soldiers, Pakistan has been exposed and isolated at international level and it is the victory of the PM Narendra Modi's diplomacy," BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma said.

Sharma, who visited Mawa, Ragal, Chack Sadda, Londi, Bobiya, Sadoh, Kangwala, Kullian, Suchetgarh, Pandhour villages of Hiranagar and Samba border Assembly constituencies, met with the people, listened to their grievances and also sought details about the prevailing situation in these border touching villages.

He said the surgical strikes on launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir has "frustrated" Pakistan and it is indulging in "unprovoked firing" on Indian side which is being taken very seriously.

"Although the government has asked the people living in villages touching border with Pakistan to move to safer places, there are many villages whose residents have displayed valour to stay and face Pakistan," Sat said, adding that the people living near the border have always served as a second line defence during all the wars.

He stressed upon the local officers of the administration to ensure availability of all the essential commodities in these villages.

The people, while putting forth their demand of constructing bunkers at safer places, provision of five marla plots, proper utilisation of funds, said that they have been living of zero line of International border and need to be given all such benefits which are being extended to their counterparts on Line of Control.

They also demanded for making adequate arrangement for uninterrupted studies of their wards.

Sharma assured the people living near the border that whatever genuine demands have been put by them, will be taken up with the Modi government at the earliest.
