Gujarat Parivartan Party president Keshubhai Patel on Sunday claimed that it was only because of BJP in the state was facing tough timesahead of the assembly polls, that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has remembered RSS and rushed to meet its chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Patel, former chief minister of Gujarat, was answering query of reporters in Surat district where he was campaigning for the forthcoming elections in December.
"Now since the elections are near he (Modi) remembers the RSS and Mohan Bhagwat. This shows that the situation was tough (for the BJP in the state) . And this is way Modi has rushed to meet Bhawat," Patel said. Modi on Sunday met the RSS chief and other top functionaries at the Sangh headquarters in Nagpur.
