Naveen announces Rs 5 cr assistance for cyclone hit AP

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced an assistance of Rs 5 crore for relief and restoration work in cyclone affected regions of Andhra Pradesh.

The state government has already dispatched 30 fire service teams and two teams of the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) for rescue operations in the neighbouring state ravaged by the very severe cyclonic storm Hudhud.

The cyclonic storm had made a landfall at Vishakhapatnam on October 12.
