The Patna High Court today annulled the appointment of principals of 13 colleges under Veer Kunwar Singh University on the ground of irregularities in their selection. Annulling the appointments, Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh found merit in the complaint that the selection committee was chosen arbitrarily and it gave marks to the candidates in a faulty manner. The 13 principals, whose appointment has been cancelled, were selected by a committee in 2009, which was challenged through a writ petition in the HC. Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara, is a public university established by Bihar University Act 1976.
