Evan Spiegel, the 26-year-old Snapchat CEO, unveiled the company's first hardware product - Spectacles - in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. He also announced rechristening of Snapchat to Snap Inc. Here's a look at what Snap Inc's Spectacles might offer

How it looks

It looks like an ordinary pair of sunglasses but has a button near the hinge. While the Google Glass looks like a pair of eyeglasses with a heads-up display and a touchpad on the side

What it does It records videos from

the wearer's perspective which they can share with their Snapchat contacts

How does it work

By tapping the button on the side, one can record a video of up to 10 seconds using a 115-degree angle lens. Every time the button is tapped, a new video will be recorded

What are the variants

Spectacles will come in one size that fits all and will be available in three colours - black, teal and coral

How much will it cost

It will be available on a limited basis with a price tag of $129.99
