The suspense over admissions into Delhi University continues for the third day even as the University Grants Commission (UGC) issued a directive to the Delhi University to begin admissions from Thursday. Reports, however, say that it is still not clear whether DU will follow the UGC directive
DU has maintained silence over the admission procedure, but 57 out of 64 colleges are reportedly ready to revert back to the three year programme.
The first cut-off list for admissions to the Delhi University was supposed to come out on Tuesday but has been deferred following the UGC's directive to the University to dispense with the Four Year Undergraduate Programme. The conflict has affected thousands of students who are waiting to get admission in the prestigious university.
Meanwhile, the All India Students Association (AISA) will today march towards the Rashtrapati Bhawan to seek the President's interference in the ongoing logjam.
