After voting against the Medical Council Bill in the Lok Sabha two days ago, key UPA constituent Trinamool Congress on Wednesday embarrassed the government in the Rajya Sabha by criticising the legislation. The government, which does not have the required numbers to pass a bill, was aided by the Samajwadi Party, the BSP and the JDU who were absent from the House during the crucial vote on the Bill helping the Bill to be passed.
