Anti-corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal said that the Income Tax Act has no provision for the kind of probe that has been ordered against BJP national president Nitin Gadkari.

"Is the Government fooling the people?" he asked today.

"Under the IT Act, you can raid under Section 132, or survey under Section 133 A or scrutinise under Section 143. What is the Government doing?" he asked.

"Will IT find anything if it raids or surveys? Raids are conducted in secrecy. This is how CBI conducts raids after grand announcements!" he said, mocking the news reports of inquiries against Gadkari.

He further said that if IT was indeed probing Gadkari then why was it not probing Robert Vadra the son in law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi?

"Does any government agency have guts to even summon him or investigate him?" he asked.

He said these probes were merely an eyewash. It further proves that BJP and Congress are "bhai bhai".

Kejriwal also criticised reports that Haryana Government's inquiry into Robert Vadra's land deals in four districts were found above board.

"That was expected. The country would be surprised if it were otherwise. In Haryana, all good officers have been shunted out. Those in key positions crawl when asked to bend," he said referring to the transfer of Ashok Khemka, who had opened a probe into Vadra's land dealings.

He said the end of all these inquiries was predictable. Both Congress and BJP would now try to protect each other and nothing would ever come out in the open.
