Aryadan Muhammed is likely to be the power minister again and K C Joseph will be in the new council of ministers as per the list of Congress ministers in Kerala to be announced on Saturday by the party high command.
Either Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, a former minister, or V D Satheeshan, a three-time MLA from north Parur Assembly segment in Ernakulam district, is likely to be selected as the Speaker of the house. Aryadan handled the same portfolio in the UDF regime during 2001-06.
After a series of hectic meetings in Thiruvananthapuram and New Delhi, the Congress high command is rigourously scrutinising the list of nine ministers. The chief minister has submitted a list 14 probable candidates to the party chief Sonia Gandhi.
The party was originally scheduled to announce the list on Friday, but the talks were inconclusive and the CM returned to Thiruvananthapuram by Friday afternoon. The other probable ministers are G Karthi-keyan, K Babu, V S Sivakumar, A P Anilkumar, K Muraleedharan, among others.
