In a major setback to the ruling Congress, two of its MLAs – Jupally Krishna Rao and Rajaiah – and independent legislature Somarapu Satyanarayana on Sunday joined the Telangana Rashtra Samiti as the formed failed to find an early solution to the statehood demand.
While Rao, a former civil supplies minister, represents Kollapur in Mahabubnagar district, Rajaiah is from Station Ghanpur in Warangal district. Satyanarayana was elected from Ramagundam in Karimnagar district. All the three joined the TRS at a meeting addressed by its president K Chandrasekhara Rao on Sunday.
