Petrol bunk sources said that there was no arrival of stocks since yesterday and that was the reason for the bunks going dry.
Chief Minister N Rangasamy told reporters that steps were taken to ensure that there was resumption of sales of petrol and diesel as the stocks were expected to reach Puducherry later in the day.
CPI (M) leader in Puducherry T Murugan said auto drivers and workers would stage a picketing here tomorrow demanding immediate steps to reopen the petrol bunks.
