The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Andhra Pradesh welcomes the Budget proposals for the year 2013-14. CII state chairman, Ashok Reddy said the measures announced in the Budget would find the means to accelerate growth in domestic economy. He welcomed the government move of presenting a separate policy statement on the agriculture.

Industry expected a major push to the growth in the Budget allocations, but the government allotted just Rs 250 crore in addition to previous year. As far as the power sector is concerned, the allocations of the Budget is very low. The entire power subsidy of Rs 14,000 crore was needed to come out of the Budget, he said.
