AP proposes Rs 7585 cr rural inclusive growth project to World Bank

The Andhra Pradesh government has proposed a Rs 7,585-crore Andhra Pradesh Rural Inclusive Growth Project (APRIGP) to the World Bank. The five-year project is aimed at making the state poverty-free by 2017. APRIGP is proposed to be funded to extent of Rs 750 crore by the World Bank and an equal amount by the state government. Additional funds of Rs 6,085 crore would be secured from other sources, including commercial banks, according to an official press release.
