Aviation Fdi Cap May Be Raised To 49%

The government is considering a proposal to raise the foreign equity cap in the aviation sector to 49 per cent. Currently, the government does not permit foreign equity in the aviation sector.

The move comes a day after the Tatas wrote to the disinvestment ministry informing their withdrawal from the race for Air-India disinvestment.
